But I still only had it on me because he threatened to beat me if I walked outside. I was still doing research (and not even on bombs) when they ran in and grabbed me.

You were pretty much screwed due to the nature of the round.
The shuttle is being mysteriously recalled, no one has done anything criminal(save for the clown who tried to do shenanigans on the CE or something, they were revolutionaires too), the CE and sec guy start to get enough of the shuttle going back all the time despite being called... And then there's a jerk in science who stole the suit the sec guy told would have to be returned.

And scientists only have one job, and as we all know, that job is to make bombs that blow up the entire station.

Even if it was a mysterious round, I didn't do anything that bad and killing me on sight is straight metagame. Also, being in science the whole time (and not even in the bomb area) I couldn't have possibly recalled the shuttle, seeing as I'm in an entirely different area and have no ID.

What should have been done, if he really wanted the suit back, should have just been to prod me, drag me to the brig for 5 minutes or whatever and take the suit. I did nothing worth a death penalty.

Except make that sleeptoxin syringe. Apparently that's what made the CE and sec(Ace and Volty) label you as trouble and robust you, TO DEATH.

I TOLD them I had the sleep syringe. I never intended to use it unless Ace came to attack me (which he did, and was quoted saying "I'm going to enjoy beating the poo poo out of you." Before I made the syringe).

That is being shitcurity and you know it.

He did warn you. Several times. And it's not even your property. You were pushing your luck just because and we all know how that ended. With a lot of xenoes and spess ninjas.

Warn me of what? That he was going to kill me? That's the definition of shitcurity then. If it wasn't my property (even though the chemist gave it to me to keep) then it's still not death worthy.

Jesus Christ. It's like nobody knows how to use a brig.

I recall taunts of "You'll never catch me!" and so on.
Also the brig was unavailable due to a plasma fire related to a blob. BUT HOW ABOUT WE STOP BITCHING ABOUT THIS BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY THIS WILL JUST GO "NUH UH" "UH HUH" "NUH UH" "UH HUH" FROM ONE SIDE TO ANOTHER

Actually I never said he wouldn't catch me. I just trolled by saying how good it looked on me etc. etc. Because I shouldn't have to kiss a sec officer's ass to do my job. And the fire, as I recall, wasn't really that necessary, either.

Actually, yes you do. Heightened security level, you remember? Threat advisory reports from CentCom and all that jazz? They're supposed to make sure the station stays safe and that's a difficult job to do when there is a scientist joker who doesn't listen to them and trolls them instead. Behaviour like that looks suspiciously like traitor and/or mutiny.

Cial, as a proponent of the previous SPESS STHESHUN DRAMA, I can tell you that this will reach no where. So you may as well let it go. Not to say that any one side here is right, but that SS13 somehow makes it impossible to resolve such differences unless you know some murderous RL secret about the other side.

I really miss having AIs in our rounds, and having malf rounds, too. Am I the only one? If no, what could we do to get AIs back into our rounds without making being an antagonist less amusing because the AI might point out any suspicious behavior and foiling ingenious plans?

Re: Space Station 13

People could learn to start cutting wires. Although problem is that AI can pretty easily check the camera list and start pointing out cut cameras and they're easy to fix, just wirecut 'em again. On the other hand, you can bash cameras off the wall and making the recovery process a lot harder. Again the problem is that the AI can easily notice someone stopping to vandalize the station, and we lack the player numbers to get blatant griff to help traitors do their stuff unhindered while sec(if there is any) is busy arresting jerks who are cutting cameras just because.

Another problem with malf AI's is that once the takeover starts, we don't have a lot of people who can disperse around the station and start taking batteries out of APC's to try and kill the AI.

Only way I can see AI's making a triumphant return to the station would be if every traitor from then on would start buying hacked AI modules and make their own AI law upload computer, but I THINK that still requires them to obtain the right disks from the upload room, which is easier said than done.

Traitors could always accomplish their goals through poison and deceit. Generally the people who complain the loudest about AIs are the ones who spawn energy swords immediately when the round begins and then run around with them.
