First of all welcome back. Second of all, everybody kinda crapped out on this when it lost momentum. We don't really have any artists making art to put into a game.

You should be drawing bushes and trees. Then try doors, windows, tables, chairs, thrones, signs, a pile of obstructive objects, counters, tiny mugs and armour.

I doubt it will be anything because nothing is happening. None of us know flash though. Two of us know RMXP, so if something does happen it'll probably be RMXP.

Well if we were to get on with this, Flash can be split into two groups of "staff"(?), one for scripting the other for graphics.

Looks like I'll really be the one doing the coding then.

If we decide to use Flash, that is.

Well the graphics are pixel based so there is that. RMXP is highly supportive of pixel graphics. Flash is not so much.

And by the flash thing I was kind of exaggerating because I was unaware of your guy's flash skills. There is also weena but he's busy with his own game.

i can redesign the art to be flashed base. it would take longer but it alow them to be more intresting and detailed. if we can get 3 flash artists to dedicate half there free time to it it will still prob go by faster then just me. cuz its really been just you and me darre for the art

DigDog and I were talking about maybe doing something a few weeks ago, but it was put on hold because I had real life stuff grabbing my attention and he was addicted to terraria. I'm sure that next week we can find some time to take talking about maybe doing something to the next level.

Re: Flash v. RMXP.

Post by Arch Fiend on Fri Jun 17, 2011 7:15 am

I’m all for the next level. Although this really wisent about making a serious rpg i think it would actually be better for productivity if it was more organized and more ambitious. Because as it sits there isn’t a load of action twords making trtg a reality but if we were shooting for the stars then I’m sure our hearts would try to sore if ya know what i mean. (don’t mind my peotism's) what im tryin to say is the original reason i and i believe many who try to make online games or entertainment and art in general is because i believe its something we can go all the way to the top with if we try. to be better and more interesting then any other online game providers and possibly game providers of any genre. i may just have my head in the clouds or be over ambitious, or just overly optimistic, but i believe you only get where you dream to achieve if you do it yourself. i wanna go to the top and if you all want to come with me you can, the company would be good. i hear its lonely up there XD

spell checked the big words for you

peotism i made up though

Re: Flash v. RMXP.

Guys, I know a guy who can code in C++ and SDL, and he wants to be in charge of coding the game. He will do all of the coding if we supply the art, music, etc. etc. He is coding it to work on the PSP and Wii. He has been looking for a project to do for a while. Would you like to put him behind coding?

Here is an example of what he has started:

It sounds great and I would say to get him on immediately. However there isn't much drive for producing art right now and I don't feel that we should waste his time if nothing's going to happen. That's just my opinion though, what does anybody else think?

Post by SilentCoder on Thu Aug 18, 2011 10:19 am

Yo, I'm the dude that is making the game. I was making this game for a previous group of people that didn't get ANYTHING done so I left them. I don't mind if we don't have art right away, but if I say I need something done, I really do need it done or else I can't make any progress. If you wanna talk to me about it you can email or im or w/e you prefer. If you wanna IM/Email pm me.

No offense or anything, but another coder is the last thing we need. You might notice that the lack of coder isn't the problem why this thing is stalling, it's the lack of art and script that brought this development to a halt.
