I'm pretty sure the style of comedic writing highlighted by that sample and The Strange Adventures of Unimaginatively Named Characters is a prime example of the humorous dialog that would make this game great. Pere you should be the dialog writer for all characters.

ALSO Are we all agreed on having the first mission being an initiating event in the story line and a tutorial?

I don't even think a team should be made. It should be a TR Project, not a "You, you, you, not you, and that guy over there" project.

we need lead designers though. it would be to hard and unorganized if everyone does there own thing. we need a group that takes the ideas of the clan and turns them into reality

No we don't. We have darre making the final decision (or putting it up to a vote) on what gets in and what doesn't. It's like a community built game, with everyone pitching in to make the game.

i dont think that can work. that puts to much pressure on darre. in the end we cant use everyones ideas and i think it would be best if we split the design team up into more then just 1 person or else we leave him alone to sift through the mountains of ideas. hes just human you must remimber

Based on the fact that we've already had some WHY AREN'T I INCLUDED drama I think Tim is definitely on the right track in not making participation exclusive.

it wont be. the ideas and siggestions of the clan will all be consitered for the game. but not all of the members have the right programs and stuff. and if we have 100 people all submitting art and whatnot, there will be exclusions. i hate it myself but reality hasint changed and untill it does i dont see any way to orginize thios game without atleast a small group to compile the ideas of the clan and turn them into the game itself

If you don't have the programs, then you could always give concept art. With 100 people submitting art (more like 10 - 20), you may not get picked for one object but theres still plenty of chances to get your stuff picked. Sure some art may need to be remade by people with the right programs or adding touch ups, but thats really no reason to exclude everyone else from the project. It's TR: The game. NOT Peregrine, Darre, Tim, Arch and Nuke: The game (as sexy as that sounds).

I am also against a team. Not having a team makes it nearly impossible to not include somebody and actually puts less work on me and anybody else who may be on the project. As for lead artists/programmers/writers/whatevers, you can declare yourself that title if you lead TR in that area by contributing the most or best. However that title means nothing to anybody else. In other words, no official "lead" anything either.

As for Pere's writing being official game dialogue, that would be great but we have to wait until we get a few storylines going to make sure it fits in.

oh and btw. we still havent consitered, class system. level system. stats. alinment. ecinomics, types of weapons, healing and helth, magic and mana, and other atrabutes such as elements.

Those would all be going EXTREMELY in depth. This is just a small game, at least to start out. I'd be guessing more like, a couple of attacks, a spell or two (maybe), some NPCs and basic things to start out. You need to remember that this is not some large scale MMO.
